ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT AND INVISALIGN

Orthodontic treatment is a way to straight and move your teeth to improve the esthetic of your smile and how your teeth work.

Why should I have orthodontic treatment?
Ortho treatment will straighten or move teeth into a better position, this can improve their appearance and way the teeth bite together, and also make them easier to clean.
When teeth don’t bite correctly you can have jaw problem and headaches.

At what age should I have ortho treatment?
The best is at childhood but adults can also have ortho treatment.
At the age of 5 is recommended to have a full dental visit to check occlusal  problems and to guide mandibular and maxillary correct grown.

Orthodontic treatment in adults
Today is possible to have aesthetic composite or porcelain brackets that are the same color of your teeth.
It is also possible to have transparent “invisible” aligners that can  be used to straighten your teeth.

The invisalign method is composed of clear plastic aligners set. Works for 2-3 weeks before being replaced with the next one.
The aligners should  be worn for 22-23 hours a day for best result, but they can be removed for drinking, eating, brushing.
